What’s the opportunity?
Be the Business Continuity Specialist guiding dLocal’s operational resilience strategy, elevating incident response, continuity planning, and risk management across markets and partners.
Act as a bridge between global standards and local execution, ensuring payment operations continuity for merchants by aligning people, processes, and platforms across time zones.
Partner with processors, acquirers, card networks, APM providers, and issuers to proactively reduce risk and minimize impact when incidents occur.
Establish clear continuity metrics and routines that protect the merchant experience and support scale.
What will I be doing?
Payments Technical Operations
Manage day-to-day payment operations and ensure transactions flow correctly
Monitor card payment processing, settlements, and processor integrations
Troubleshoot technical and operational issues across the payment lifecycle (authorization → capture → settlement → reconciliation)
Act as the technical liaison for partners and local processors
API & Integration Support
Support and maintain payment integrations and APIs
Investigate and resolve integration failures, timeouts, and latency issues
Work with internal teams to implement fixes, improvements, and enhancements
Technical Issue Management
Diagnose issues related to ISO payment codes, error handling, and response codes
Monitor latency, response times, and system performance
Coordinate incident management with internal IT, engineering, and external partners
Ensure operational issues are resolved within SLAs
Collaboration & Communication
Translate technical issues into understandable impacts for non-technical stakeholders
Communicate with partners about root causes and resolutions
Support product and operations teams with technical insights and best practices
What skills do I need?
Payment Operations Knowledge
Experience in payment card operations or fintech technical operations
Understanding of payment processing concepts: authorization, capture, refunds, chargebacks
Knowledge of ISO payment codes (e.g., transaction authorization and response codes)
API & Integration Skills
Hands-on experience with payment APIs
Ability to read API documentation, technical specs, and JSON/XML payloads
Troubleshooting API requests, responses, payloads, and logs
Technical Troubleshooting
Strong skills to identify and solve payment issues across the full payment lifecycle
Understanding of latency, timeouts, retries, and system performance
Partner / Processor Knowledge
Experience working with local processors, acquirers, gateways, or PSPs
Ability to act as a technical point of contact for partners
Technical Knowledge
API protocols: REST, Webhooks
Logs, monitoring tools, and incident tracking systems
Understanding of settlement flows and reconciliation processes (optional but valuable)
Nice-to-Have
Background in Technical Support, Engineering, or Payments Product Support
Experience in high-volume or real-time payment environments
Exposure to cloud environments or monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, Kibana, Grafana)
