As the Business Assurance and Controls Manager, you will support leadership of the Business Assurance and Strategic Support Team in the provision of control assurance services over critical operations and material service providers. You will also provide advice, subject matter expertise, and advisory services to line 1 risk and the business across the critical process’s obligations, processes and change.

  • Complete Assurance Reviews across the Material Service Providers Assurance Plans, consistent with their level of criticality and risk. 
  • Provide control testing education, advice and training to first line risk teams and the broader business. 
  • Develop and execute the controls assurance plans across Rest’s critical operations. 
  • Provide advice and support for the identification of risks, controls, obligations, business and regulatory change on critical operations.
  • Facilitate risk and control assessment workshops.  
  • Support the annual critical operations assurance attestation and reporting process to group executives and the board.  
  • Support the implementation of CPS230 and associated business resilience practices

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or experience in -

  • Experience in a Risk and/or Compliance role within the financial services industry.  
  • Leadership experience to make informed decisions, setting priorities and providing direction to business leaders, and teams.  
  • Thorough understanding of Control Testing and Assurance, frameworks, methodologies and practices.  
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business continuity management, operational resilience and/or familiarity with CPS230.  
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business process architecture principles and practices and how risk is managed on process.
