Support complex U.S.–Mexico import/export operations by evaluating trade compliance software solutions and ensuring regulatory compliance with a focus on executive-level decision support.
We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join a dynamic team within a leading organization. This role focuses on evaluating and recommending trade compliance software solutions, supporting complex business and regulatory needs related to U.S.–Mexico import/export operations, with an emphasis on accuracy, compliance, and executive-level decision support.
Elicit, analyze, and document business and regulatory requirements related to U.S. and Mexico import/export compliance.
Collaborate with trade compliance, logistics, customs, legal, and IT stakeholders to validate and refine requirements.
Translate regulatory and operational needs into clear functional and non-functional system requirements.
Evaluate existing and candidate trade compliance software platforms against documented requirements.
Assess solution capabilities such as automated classification, origin determination, USMCA qualification, broker integration, and compliance reporting.
Identify gaps, risks, integration considerations, and process impacts.
Develop comparative analyses, scorecards, and executive-ready summaries.
Provide data-backed recommendations and support stakeholder decision-making through presentations and workshops.
With over 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, you must demonstrate strong expertise in the following areas:
Trade compliance and global trade systems
U.S.–Mexico import/export regulations, including customs, tariffs, and trade agreements (USMCA)
Requirements analysis, documentation, and stakeholder facilitation
Evaluation or implementation of trade compliance software (GTM, customs, or trade management platforms)
Risk assessment, gap analysis, and solution comparison
Bachelor’s degree or higher
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with direct experience in trade compliance or global trade systems
Advanced English proficiency
Excellent communication skills, teamwork, commitment, and a proactive mindset
Ability to work independently in outcome-focused engagements
Remote work from Mexico (Guadalajara preferred)
Work hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 18:00
Advanced English skills are mandatory, and only candidates residing in Mexico will be considered.
