We are expanding our presence in Frankfurt and are seeking experienced Business Analysts with strong KYC / AFC expertise to join our growing team.
Role Overview
As a Business Analyst, you will support private banking and wealth management clients in enhancing their onboarding processes, improving client and advisor experience, and ensuring robust adherence to Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) and Know-Your-Customer (KYC) requirements. You will work closely with business stakeholders, compliance, technology teams, and operations to analyse current-state processes, design improvements, and manage delivery of regulatory and process-change initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse and map existing KYC / AFC onboarding processes across private banking and wealth management.
Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and user-experience challenges in the onboarding journey for both clients and front-office users.
Develop target operating models, process optimisations, and workflow improvements.
Gather, document, and validate business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Support regulatory change initiatives, ensuring alignment with internal policies and external regulatory standards (e.g., AML, EU/GER KYC requirements, FATF guidelines).
Collaborate with compliance, operations, technology, and front-office teams to drive implementation.
Conduct gap analyses, impact assessments, and root-cause investigations for onboarding and KYC-related issues.
Support system enhancements, workflow automation, and digital onboarding initiatives.
Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and working groups.
Assist in testing, validation, and go-live activities for process or system changes.
Produce clear documentation, business cases, and executive-level reporting.
Required Skills & Experience:
Ideally 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within financial services, ideally private banking or wealth management.
Strong expertise in KYC, AML, AFC and client onboarding processes.
Demonstrable experience streamlining processes, optimizing operational workflows, or delivering UX-focused improvements.
Familiarity with EU/BAFIN regulatory requirements for client onboarding.
Experience working with digital onboarding tools, workflow platforms, or case management systems (e.g., Pega, Fenergo, Appway, Salesforce).
Strong analytical capability with the ability to simplify complex problems.
Excellent communication skills with experience interacting with senior stakeholders.
Ability to create clear business requirements, process flows, and functional specifications.
Proficient in German and English
