As an integral member of our Portfolio & Credit Risk teams, the Banking Business Analyst Intern supports the design, documentation, and internal implementation of data-driven credit policies, portfolio monitoring frameworks, and governance standards.
This role operates within the Risk function and supports senior leadership by converting internal discussions, analytical findings, and policy updates into structured documentation and well-defined Jira workflows. All external or cross-functional communications will be led by senior team members.
The intern will focus on structured documentation, process standardization, internal reporting support, and analytical assistance under direct supervision. This role requires strong attention to detail, structured thinking, and hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence in a controlled Agile environment.
Your Impact: What You’ll Do
Support documentation of credit risk policies and acquisition strategies for Salary Lending and new products.
Convert internal discussions into structured BRDs, documentation artifacts, and clearly defined Jira tickets (reviewed and finalized by senior team members before external sharing).Maintain and organize Confluence documentation for underwriting logic, deviation tracking, policy changes, and model updates.
Assist in internal tracking of sprint progress, task dependencies, and status reporting.
Document portfolio monitoring metrics (FPD, DPD30+, DPD90+, churn indicators) and maintain structured internal trackers.
Support preparation of internal analysis summaries for review by senior Risk leadership.
Assist in maintaining structured change logs for policy revisions, model retraining updates, and governance documentation.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the Risk team.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to gain exposure to real-world credit risk and fintech operations while working in a structured, internally supervised environment.
Day-to-Day Activities
You draft Jira tickets based on internal guidance and refine them based on feedback from senior team members.
You maintain structured Confluence pages for underwriting policies, credit rule updates, and documentation hygiene.
You assist in documenting portfolio analysis findings and converting them into structured internal reports.
You map credit processes (loan lifecycle, underwriting flow, deviation handling) for internal documentation purposes.
You support internal governance documentation related to model changes and policy updates.
You work closely with senior Risk team members; all cross-team or stakeholder communication is handled by leadership.
What We’re Looking For: Skills & Experience
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Economics, Finance, Business Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics).
Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence (academic, internship, or professional exposure).
Proficient in Google Workspace or Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Strong documentation and structured writing skills.
Basic knowledge of SQL or data analytics tools is a plus.
Basic understanding of banking, lending, or credit risk concepts is another plus.
Demonstrates confidentiality, professionalism, and discipline in handling sensitive financial data.
