The IT Business Analyst will play a key role in advancing Allucent’s Data and Development initiatives. This position will focus on gathering, analyzing, and translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications that support data integration, analytics, AI use cases, and enhancements to internally developed applications.

The Business Analyst will collaborate with global business stakeholders, data engineers, developers, and AI specialists to ensure solutions meet business objectives and regulatory expectations. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and an interest in how data and artificial intelligence can drive operational insights and efficiency.

Requirements

·       Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and data engineers to elicit, document, and validate detailed business and functional requirements.

·       Translate business needs into user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria to guide development and testing.

·       Partner with data and AI teams to define requirements for data pipelines, model inputs/outputs, and user interfaces that support AI-enabled workflows.

·       Analyze existing systems and data flows to identify opportunities for automation, predictive analytics, and process optimization using AI solutions.

·       Support data mapping, interface requirements, and reporting specifications for analytics and AI-driven insights.

Project Support

·       Partner with project managers to ensure project scope, milestones, and deliverables are clearly defined and aligned with business goals.

·       Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and system demos to ensure clear communication between business and development teams.

·       Support testing, validation, and user acceptance for system enhancements and new features.

Documentation & Communication

·       Maintain clear and traceable documentation, including business process maps, requirements traceability matrices, and data flow diagrams.

·       Prepare user guides, training materials, and support documentation for internal users, including those adopting AI-driven tools.

Quality & Compliance

·       Ensure requirements and solutions comply with applicable GxP, data privacy, and security standards.

·       Support data integrity and governance practices across projects.

·       Contribute to continuous improvement of business analysis methodologies and documentation standards.

·       Review, improve and evaluate IT processes and procedures within the Quality Management System.

·       Contribute to other areas of business as required.

·       No major travel required.

·       Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.

·       4–7 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a life sciences, CRO, or technology organization.

·       Experience supporting data analytics or AI-related initiatives preferred (e.g., requirements for predictive models, natural language processing, or automation workflows).

·       Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (Agile and Waterfall).

·       Exposure to APIs, data pipelines, and reporting/analytics tools is a plus.

·       Business Analysis certification (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) is a plus.

·       Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to translate complex business needs into actionable technical requirements.

·       Communicates effectively across technical and business teams, ensuring clarity and alignment throughout project lifecycles.

·       Understands data and AI concepts, including automation, predictive analytics, and how these technologies can enhance business processes.

·       Produces thorough and accurate documentation, including user stories, process flows, and functional specifications.

·       Adapts quickly to shifting priorities and works effectively in a fast-paced, global team environment.

·       Maintains a strong commitment to data integrity, compliance, and delivering high-quality outcomes that support business objectives.
