We are currently looking for a Business Analyst to join our growing team in one of the biggest European organisations.
Tasks:
Models and documents value chain/streams, business processes, roles, capabilities and data.
- Elicits and analyses business needs, requirements and user stories,
- Supports business experts and product owners during the definition of requirements and software development
- Maintains and tracks requirements/user stories in the system's lifecycle
- Transfers business, users and technical needs into business requirements specification,
- Maps business goals, project benefits, priorities, components, and system features
- Analyses available systems- Supports identification of options for potential solutions
- Supports the preparation of business cases and feasibility studies
- Contributes to systems design, testing, quality assurance, and change management.
- Responsible for designing, validating, and testing business processes for achieving business process excellence
- Responsible for taking a holistic approach in the planning and managing of a programmes for continuous improvements of business processes
- Responsible for coaching client's staff on upcoming changes, ensuring that a plan is in place to teach new skills and/or process changes
- Collaborates with owners of end-to-end processes to seek out process improvements continually
- Identifies opportunities for business process improvement leading to improved customer service, lower costs, or higher revenue (effectiveness and efficiency gains)
- Communicates project objectives, business case, requirements, and scope to all stakeholders, to better provide rapid responses to business needs
- Quantitatively analyses business processes, performing cost-benefit and what-if analysis
- Plans the organisational changes process
- Implements performance monitoring systems for business processes
- Supports business users in developing strategic and tactical plans (e.g. sector strategies, implementation plans etc.)
- Supports the definition of transition roadmaps for business architectures.
Knowledge and skills:
- Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience
- Minimum 5 years of project experience relevant to the profile or a similar position
- Has gone at least 1 time through the complete lifecycle of the software solution
- Knowledge in business processes modelling using BPMN notation,
- Knowledge in requirements/user stories elicitation and analysis,
- Knowledge in analysis/modelling notations like UML (capability diagram, activity diagram, state diagram, logical data model, etc.)
- Proficient in using modelling tools like Sparx Enterprise Architect, Aris Architect or others
- Presents excellent analytical and communication skills
- Holds the ability to create and maintain analytical and project documentation effectively
- Presents problem-solving skills
Specific requirements
- Participated in and has experience in a project aimed at business process improvement or redesign
- Participated and has experience in the role of Business Analyst in a project aimed at analysis, design, implementation and deployment of an ICT Solution that enabled multilevel, multistakeholder reporting
- Expert in organisation and management of workshops, and has experience and knowledge of how to prepare and conduct structured/unstructured interviews (incl. designing questionnaires)
- Has experience in preparing and conducting market studies/research
- Has experience in business change management
- Has experience in business architecture (organisation, value streams, capabilities, business processes, information) modelling and/or analysis
- Being familiar with formal business process management methods such as Lean, Six Sigma
- Being familiar with the BABOK (Business Analysis Body of Knowledge) framework
At least 2 certifications among:
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent
- Certified UML Professional certificate at the foundation level or BPM 2 fundamental level or equivalent
- or equivalent certifications recognised internationally (subject to acceptance as a valid credential by the Contracting Authority)
