Business Affairs Manager (Part-Time)

Summary of Position:

NVE is seeking a detail-oriented Business Affairs Manager (part-time) to serve as the primary point of contact for contractual, legal, compliance, insurance and rights management matters across the agency’s experiential, production, and creative work. This role bridges legal, operational, and financial disciplines, ensuring contractual integrity, risk awareness, and insurance alignment with both client and agency expectations.

This position is ideal for someone with strong contract negotiation experience who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment and wants flexibility in their work schedule.

This role will report into the VP, Strategic Partnerships.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate vendor, venue, and talent contracts.
  • Administer client and vendor SOWs, NDAs, MSAs, and insurance documentation.
  • Oversee intellectual property and rights clearances for creative, content, and event assets.
  • Track contract as well as insurance compliance, renewals, and change orders; identify risk exposures.
  • Create and maintain standardized contract templates and risk-management policies.
  • Partner with Production, Finance, and Account teams to scope business affairs support in client estimates.
  • Be the liaison between internal team members and external brokers for insurance needs such as COI’s.
  • Engage and manage outside counsel for complex or specialized legal issues.
  • Maintain awareness of relevant advertising, data, and experiential marketing regulations.
  • Support leadership with commercial deal structures, partnership terms, and operational compliance.

Qualifications:

  • 5–8 years of experience in legal, business affairs, or contract management (agency, production, entertainment, or brand side).
  • Strong understanding of marketing, talent, venue, production, and content contracts.
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to balance risk mitigation with operational pragmatism and business needs.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; J.D. preferred but not mandatory.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with creative services, experiential marketing, or entertainment industries.
  • Familiarity with SAG-AFTRA, influencer agreements, licensing, and usage rights.
  • Understand insurance laws and compliance 
  • Comfort working autonomously with variable hours and intermittent deliverables.

Location

  • We are a hybrid company with hub locations in Los Angeles and New York. The ideal candidate is based in any of our hub locations, however, we will consider remote candidates for this role.

Salary Estimation: [$40.00 - $75.00 per hour]

This is a non-exempt role eligible for OT in accordance with local law. NVE intends to provide a competitive total compensation package which includes a variety of incentives, benefits, growth and developmental opportunities. There are many factors to the presented hourly range, including but not limited to - location, departmental budgets, certifications, and overall job-related qualifications.
