We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill a Bridge Engineer position in our Richmond, VA office.

  • Assisting senior level bridge engineers with analysis, design, and detailing for bridge and culvert reconstruction projects for State DOT and local government bridge projects.
  • Ability to analyze, design, and detail local, State DOT bridge projects under the supervision of Senior level engineers.
  • Experienced with MicroStation, AutoCAD, Open Bridge Modeler, AASHTOware, and MathCAD is a plus.
  • Other responsibilities may include report preparation, field reconnaissance and inspection.
  • Attend conferences and meetings when necessary/required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (with concentration in structural engineering) from an ABET Accredited College.
3 to 5 years of experience
Preferably have their EIT Certificate (or the ability to obtain within 12 months) – PE License is a plus.
Experience with DOT projects and their design software is a plus.
Familiarity with reinforced concrete and steel design.
Strong communication and organization skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word & Excel
Desire to work in a team environment
