The Executive Director (CEO) will be responsible for overseeing the daily management of the Company in Brazil, ensuring strategic execution, operational excellence, and full alignment with corporate objectives. This role requires strong leadership and governance capabilities, focusing on financial performance, compliance with local and international standards, and sustainable growth in the Brazilian market.
Responsibilities:
Act as the local representative in external engagements with regulators, partners, clients, and investors.
Lead the Brazilian entity in the execution of the strategic plan, ensuring alignment with the broader company mission, values, and growth targets.
Oversee daily operations across finance, compliance, risk, legal, client servicing, HR, and IT.
Drive business performance, ensuring profitability, cost efficiency, and revenue growth.
Ensure compliance with all applicable local and international laws, company policies, and internal control systems.
Act as the local representative in external engagements with regulators, partners, clients, and investors.
Develop and maintain robust risk management and compliance frameworks to safeguard the firm and its clients.
Provide clear leadership and direction to the executive team, nurturing a high-performance culture and developing future leadership capabilities.
Monitor market trends, client needs, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for product or service development.
Lead the development of the company’s technology and digital strategy to support innovation, scalability, and data protection standards.
Foster strong stakeholder relationships and deliver transparent, timely updates to the Board and Shareholders.
Requirements:
University degree in finance, business administration, economics, law, or a related field (an MBA or postgraduate degree is preferred).
Minimum 5+ years of senior leadership experience in financial markets, investments or brokerage or a related industry.
Proven experience in retail financial services in Brazil, ideally in brokerage, fintech, or investment platforms.
Strong understanding of the Brazilian financial ecosystem, including market infrastructure, regulatory trends, and client expectations.
Familiarity with local regulatory bodies such as CVM (Comissão de Valores Mobiliários) and Banco Central - preferred, though no specific licensing is currently required.
Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and implement scalable business strategies.
High level of personal and professional integrity, with no record of regulatory violations or financial misconduct.
Excellent interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, and ability to operate effectively in a multicultural and fast-paced environment.
High level of integrity, reputation, and commitment to responsible, compliant, and client-focused business practices.
Fluency in Portuguese and strong command of English is essential.
