JOB SUMMARY
Brazers assemble and join metal components using a torch and filler materials in a controlled process that ensures strong, leak-proof, and durable joints.
Here are some of the tasks you'll be performing:
Metal Preparation
- Clean and prepare metal surfaces to ensure proper bonding.
- Align and secure parts using clamps, fixtures, or jigs.
Brazing Operations
- Apply flux and filler metal to joint areas.
- Use torches, induction heaters, or furnaces to heat metal parts to brazing temperature.
- Monitor temperature and timing to ensure proper bonding,
Quality Control
- Inspect finished joints for strength, leaks, and conformity to specifications.
- Perform pressure tests or visual inspections as required.
- Identify and correct defects or inconsistencies.
Blueprint and Specification Reading
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
- Follow detailed instructions to meet product specifications.

Qualifications:
- Previous brazing experience (preferred but not required).
Education requirement:
- Post-secondary education or related experience.
To be a success in this role:
- Willingness to braze copper joints with an open flame torch.
- Have an attention to detail.
- Have mechanical skills and be mechanically inclined.
- Written/verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to multitask and adapt to a highly dynamic environment.
- Good reasoning skills and sound judgement.
- Must be able to lift packages up to 50 pounds.
