BPM LLP recruiting on behalf of a Confidential Ranch Company for a Controller based out of Bozeman, MT

BPM is currently recruiting for a Controller position for a Confidential Ranch Company. This role will lead the on-site accounting team in Bozeman, MT. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on accuracy, loves building efficient systems, and enjoys being a key player in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting.

Work closely with VP of Finance to ensure a timely monthly close process.

Maintain up-to-date event codes in the accounting system.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation.

Complete other ad-hoc projects as necessary.

Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability

Implement process improvements and technology solutions to enhance efficiency

Support in overseeing the activities of the ranch corporate accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of monthly internal financial statements

Participate in a variety of special ranch accounting or reporting projects and compile a variety of special reports

Position Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.

8 years of relevant experience with 5 years of management experience is preferred

Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with multiple departments.

Complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner with minimal oversight.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Willingness to learn and take on additional projects as needed.
