Duties and Responsibilities

  • Daily Journal entries to input sales to Quickbooks
  • Internal controls, eg reviewing reports for voided transactions, cash returns etc
  • Investigating variances with credit card or cash receipts that have been identified
  • Monthly update of Health Insurance and Social Insurance excel files to match employer deductions/employer contributions against billing
  • Inputting Vendor invoices to Quickbooks
  • Stock input to Lightspeed PoS for inventory control
  • Monitoring/updating pricing as needed and preparing a schedule to advise the Store Manager of price changes

Requirements

  • Knowledge and Experience with Quickbooks is a great advantage
  • Food Service and/or Retail experience is a plus
  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • Understanding accounting best practices
  • Data entry skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Produce work with a high level of accuracy
  • Professionalism and organization skills
  • Associates degree or at least one year of experience
