The PM Tech / Utility Tech 3 position is an entry-level technician capable of doing preventative maintenance on Medical equipment, and will be expected to learn the operation of a variety of biomedical equipment. A technical background will allow for advancement within the biomedical field. He/ She will be expected to participate in business growth and productivity improvement initiatives.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a variety of biomedical equipment
- Will assist Utility Technician 1’s and Utility Technician 2’s and other technician's as needed.
- Will identify training needs for self.
- Will assure the service area is clean and orderly, providing a safe environment for service personnel.
- Will assure accurate database entry and reports.
- Expected to meet production goals set for the department
- Will clean and decontaminate equipment if needed.
- Will assist if needed with the Shipping and Receiving of equipment.
- Will be expected to work Overtime with short notice.
- Will participate in the Bi-annual inventory of equipment.
- Will participate in a department on-call rotation, including short to last minute overtime when needed and weekend overtime for critical projects, coverage as necessary.
- Other duties and tasks as directed by the Supervisor, Lead or Manager.
SHIFT: M-F 8:30am-5:00pm or 9:30am-6:00pm.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED, with 3+years of related experience in electronics or pursing associates / technical degree in an electronic field, preferably biomedical or equivalent electronics on the job training knowledge / experience or a combination of both.
- Basic troubleshooting ability
- Some knowledge of various hospital/homecare medical equipment
- Excellent customer communication skills
- Computer literate with an understanding of database operations
- Understanding of and ability to operate basic electronic test equipment
- Basic knowledge of electronics, electricity, electro-mechanical, fluidics, pneumatics and hydraulic theories and practices.
- Strong work ethic and focus on quality work
- Must be organized.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Ability to wok under pressure with a positive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to maintain focus with intermittent distractions
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Capable of cleaning, moving and organizing potable medical equipment.
- Must be able to lift 50LBS.

- Working knowledge of PC software such as Microsoft office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point) One Track, E1.
