Ventus Executive Solutions is seeking askilled Biodefense R&D SETA to support an innovative program. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated self-starter with a passion for science and technology. The candidate in this role will have experience in protein sequencing technologies, pathogen identification and characterization, DNA/RNA synthesis and manufacturing platforms, computational protein design, and advanced biodefense R&D. The candidate has the responsibility to provide SETA support focusing on kicking off new programs, program execution, and new program development using the Heilmeier criteria as well as ancillary analysis support to establish new and existing programs. The role also includes responsibilities for analysis of emerging science and technology R&D opportunities, generating briefing materials for new program approval, and program management at all stages of the program lifecycle, including BAA drafting and performer assessments. Clearance: Top Secret

Required Experience:

  • Ph.D. in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline in Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering.
  • Prior experience at DARPA.
  • Specific expertise in one or more of the following: protein sequencing technologies, pathogen identification and characterization, DNA/RNA synthesis and manufacturing platforms, computational protein design, and advanced biodefense R&D.

  • Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar areas to broadly support the PM’s portfolio spanning multiple domains at the intersection of biotechnology and microsystems.
