Position Description: This position must resolve problems of limited scope and complexity and requires occasional periods of intense concentration as well as average strength and stamina. This position is within  a normal office environment with little exposure to noise, dust, fumes, etc. and requires some travel. Typical responsibilities include:
  • Work with project team to initiate and prepare models for each project across multiple disciplines
  • Create project content including graphical objects, parametric, formulaic, and library catalogs. 
  • Coordinate preparation and packaging of all deliverables for each project milestone 
  • Lead modeler on project
  • Drives projects from initiation to completion in a multi-discipline/multi-firm basis
  • Initiate project setup and Project Execution Planning
  • Establish and maintain collaborative environment for each project
  • Work as part of frontline project support to achieve consistent results
  • Model management coordination, administration, and maintenance
  • Hold weekly (or appropriate interval) project design team meetings to ensure communication and schedule are intact throughout project lifecycle
  • Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure all Design Technology related tasks are part of the project schedule
  • Maintain a safe working environment
  • Education:
  •  Associate’s and 2+ years of experience in professional environment or 3 years’ commensurate experience in lieu of degree requirements
  • Skills/Experience:
  • Experience coordinating BIM projects, project execution planning, design development, model/information management, and standards adherence
  • Expert knowledge in project coordination, model coordination, and clash resolution
  • Detailed understanding of BIM concepts and their use in architectural and engineering project delivery
  • Energetic and eager to support staff with positive attitude, passion, and patience
  • Strong experience with intelligent 3D modeling software (e.g., Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, as well as industry add-ins)
  • Strong understanding of clash detection (Navisworks)
  • Construction document production and organization experience
  • Experience with general business and industry software (Microsoft Office suite related document management tools, etc.)
  • AutoCAD/Civil3D experience a plus
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills and ability to escalate issues in a timely fashion
  • Working knowledge of design and construction industry workflows, reviews, production cycles, project milestones, and priorities 
  • Experienced and active in multiple roles: training, support, mentor, project team member
