Employment Type: Part-Time (3 Days/Week) | Potential Full-Time with performance
Pay: $22-24/hour
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Billing Process Analyst to join our team initially on a part-time basis (3 days/week), with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with a passion for data, finance operations, and customer service who is interested in long-term growth.
Respond to and resolve billing inquiries with both internal partners and external clients
Process payments and perform research related to account or transaction discrepancies
Conduct regular database reviews and updates to maintain data integrity
Assist with permit creation and general data entry tasks
Collaborate across teams to support ongoing operations and special projects
Maintain professionalism in all communications, managing interactions across departments and client bases
Analytical Proficiency
Strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and general accounting principles
Comfort working with data sets and drawing actionable insights
Advanced Excel Capabilities
Must be able to confidently use lookup tables (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP), INDEX/MATCH, and write basic scripts/macros
⚠️ You will be asked to demonstrate Excel skills during the interview process
Customer Service & Communication Skills
Proven experience in billing support and professional client interactions
Ability to navigate and communicate effectively with diverse personalities and teams
Exposure to or knowledge of SQL, APIs, or DAX
Background in the utility industry, particularly electric or energy
Experience with call center operations, telecommunications, or credit services
3+ years of experience in a data-driven, customer-facing role
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
High level of professionalism and curiosity to learn and grow
