Billing and Collection Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Billing and Collections Specialist who will play a pivotal role ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of customer invoices and the collection of payments from customers. This is an incredible opportunity for someone with strong interpersonal skills who is passionate about contributing to the overall financial health and success of the organization. We are looking for candidates with a solid background in billing and collections in a multi-national business-to-business environment. This role will report to the Manager, Revenue Accounting and will be a San Diego based on-site role.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Generate accurate and timely invoices for products/services delivered to customers
• Respond timely and politely to customer inquiries
• Collaborate with internal teams to address customer inquiries and concerns
• Follow up on outstanding receivables and ensure timely payment
• Process and post customer payments to the appropriate accounts
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer transactions
• Provide support to the broader accounting team as needed

Education and Experience:

• A minimum of three-years’ experience in a multi-national business-to-business billing and collections environment is required
• Knowledge of NetSuite accounting software and SalesForce
• Experience with Avalara Tax Compliance Software
• Working knowledge of accounting
• Effective communication, collaboration, organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Intermediate Excel level required
• Excellent math skills and strong attention to detail

Base Compensation Pay Range:

• $65,000 - $80,000

In addition to base compensation noted above, you will be eligible for stock options, discretionary annual bonus, no cost health insurance plans, 401k with company match, and flexible paid time off.
