Bilingual Spanish Tutor - Academic and SEL Support

About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Indio, CA

Details:

• In-Person Tutoring in Indio, CA
• Schedule: 18 hours, 2 sessions a week for 2 hours
• Pay range is between $25 and $35

Ideal Candidate:

• Fluent in both Spanish and English to support the student and family communication.
• Experienced in working with elementary students, preferably with learning differences or speech delays.
• Skilled in developing reading comprehension, writing organization, and retention skills.
• Knowledgeable in social-emotional learning (SEL) strategies and able to integrate them into sessions.
• Patient, engaging, and able to maintain a structured, motivating learning environment.
• Creative in designing lessons and able to bring supplemental curriculum materials to support instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction in reading comprehension, writing, and retention skills.
• Incorporate social-emotional learning (SEL) activities into academic sessions to support self-regulation and confidence.
• Bring and implement supplemental curriculum to reinforce skill development and academic growth.
• Encourage academic engagement using the student’s interests, such as video games and comic books, to motivate learning.
• Maintain clear communication with the family regarding progress and areas of focus.
• Adapt instruction to meet the student’s learning style and developmental needs.
• Foster a positive, patient, and structured learning environment that promotes confidence and independence.
