About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Palm Desert, CA

Details:

• In-Person Tutoring in Palm Desert, CA
• Schedule: 25 hours, Piano/organ sessions 2-3 times a week for 1hr
• Pay range is between $25 and $35

Ideal Candidate:

• Fluent in English and Spanish, with experience supporting students at foundational academic levels.
• Skilled in teaching early literacy (alphabet recognition, writing), basic math concepts, and foundational numeracy.
• Experienced with students who require highly structured, hands-on, and engaging instruction.
• Comfortable integrating music instruction (piano/organ) with academic learning to reinforce literacy and math concepts.
• Patient, encouraging, and able to adapt instruction to the student’s developmental and learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction in foundational literacy and math skills, including alphabet recognition, early writing, and counting.
• Integrate piano/organ lessons with academic learning, using music activities to reinforce literacy and math concepts.
• Develop and implement structured lesson plans that combine academics and music in a hands-on, engaging format.
• Monitor and track student progress, adjusting instruction as needed based on assessment outcomes.
• Incorporate the student’s interests to maintain motivation and engagement throughout sessions.
• Communicate regularly with the family regarding progress, challenges, and next steps.
• Maintain a supportive, patient, and positive learning environment.
