The Accounting Operations Specialist supports the accounting function by managing accounts payable activities, assisting with payroll and statutory reporting, and ensuring accurate financial records in compliance with internal controls and IFRS standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process and enter merchandise and non-merchandise invoices.
• Resolve invoice, purchase order, and vendor discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Review vendor statements and respond to vendor inquiries.
• Maintain and reconcile accounts payable, receivable, fixed assets, and general ledger.
• Support monthly and statutory financial close processes with proper documentation.
• Assist with payroll review, accruals, and payroll-related entries.
• Register and schedule statutory payments as required.
• Prepare documentation for internal reviews, audits, and inspections.
• Upload batch sheets and accounting data into ERP systems.
• Maintain ethical, confidential, and professional accounting practices.
• Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in accounting or accounts payable functions.
• Advanced English and Spanish proficiency (written and verbal).
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP or similar preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and maintain consistent attendance.
Work Conditions:
• Full-time, Monday to Friday.
• Remote or hybrid work capability, subject to business need.
