Bid role - Database Engineer/Developer (starts in 8-10 weeks) - TS/SCI w/ Poly

The Contractor team shall provide systems engineering, custom application development, database administration and operations and maintenance (O&M) for the Sponsor system in support of the full system lifecycle. The Contractor shall provide support for deployment packaging, system maintenance and troubleshooting for software and virtual infrastructure (cloud) components to maintain sustainability and reliability of the Sponsor’s system.

Database development / Administration

1. Develop formal database requirements for Sponsor consideration.
2. Analyze existing databases and data needs to develop effective systems.
3. Translate database requirements into end-to-end design for databases that may involve multiple interfaces to other database systems.
4. Design, develop, implement and maintain database structures.
5. Design and maintain interactive web databases and web services; design graphics and user interfaces.
6. Develop, test, implement and maintain security procedures to protect databases from unauthorized usage.
7. Develop, test, implement and maintain complex functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers to support application development.
8. Ensure data quality and integrity in databases.
9. Write interfaces to other database systems.
10. Integrate modules, test and resolve any errors.
11. Conduct unit/functional testing.
12. Track and resolve discrepancy reports.
13. Modify databases according to requirements and perform testing of modifications.
14. Organize content, develop color schemes, design and produce graphics.

 

 

 

Required Skills:

a.      Demonstrated experience translating detailed design into computer software.

b.      Demonstrated experience developing and conducting software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments.

c.      Demonstrated experience ensuring the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

d.      Demonstrated experience preparing documentation such as program-level, user-level, and security documentation.

e.      Demonstrated experience performing as an Agile Scrum Master.

f.       Demonstrated experience translating database requirements into end-to-end design for databases that may involve multiple interfaces to other database systems.

g.      Demonstrated experience designing, developing, implementing and maintaining database structures.

h.      Demonstrated experience designing interactive web databases and web services; and user interfaces.

i.       Demonstrated experience developing security procedures to protect databases from unauthorized usage.

j.       Demonstrated experience developing, testing, and implementing complex functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers to support application development.

k.      Demonstrated experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and MS Azure cloud technologies.

l.       Demonstrated experience with Jenkins, Github, Docker, and orchestration tools such as Ansible, CloudFormation, or Terraform.

m.    Demonstrated experience with Linux administration and scripting languages including Bash and Python.

n.      Demonstrated experience with full ELK stack such as ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana, and Filebeat.

o.      Demonstrated experience with JavaScript/HTML/CSS web user interfaces.

p. Demonstrated experience with web UI frameworks, such as React and/or Extended JavaScript (ExtJS).
