Bid Manager

We are seeking an experienced Bid Manager to help drive the development of high quality, accurate, compelling and competitive bids that position Konica Minolta for success.

Key responsibilities

  • Working closely with key stakeholders early in the sales cycle bringing commercial acumen and supporting the development of strategies and win themes to major sales opportunities.
  • Qualifying bids and providing Yes/No Bid recommendations to the National Manager – Sales Transformation, and Sales leadership team.
  • Managing the completion of agreed bid tools by sales teams.
  • Bringing together and leading multi-disciplinary bid project teams, evaluating requirements, defining roles and responsibilities, managing timelines and deliverables, and escalating issues affecting the on-time delivery of a quality response.
  • Ensuring Win Themes, and Unique Selling Propositions (USPs) and clearly articulated benefits of our solutions are integrated into all bid messaging.
  • Reviewing contractual terms and obtaining necessary approvals.
  • Coordinating bid pricing including profitability reviews and approvals.
  • Leading bid response reviews and approvals to develop and submit a quality bid in a timely manner.
  • Supporting post-submission activities in conjunction with sales such as clarifications, presentations and contract negotiation.

Requirements

  • Bid management experience responding to large corporate and government tenders ideally in an IT Services, Technology or Managed Services environment.
  • Experience with project management disciplines and demonstrated ability to prioritise multiple projects simultaneously in time critical situations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and driving a diverse (and virtual) team of professionals in a matrix organisation.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and a commitment to a career in bid management.
  • Exceptional negotiation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Advanced MS Office skills (especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
