About the role:

LRN is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to support our product team. You will work closely with team to develop new features and enhancements for our product. You will work alongside of project managers, Data engineer and quality assurance team to meet delivery expectations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports to support business decision-making.
  • Write optimized SQL queries for Amazon Athena to extract and transform data efficiently.
  • Understand business requirements and translate them into interactive visualizations and reports.
  • Work with large datasets and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to define and enhance data models for reporting needs.
  • Develop and maintain Tableau extracts, published data sources, and scheduled reports.
  • Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure the accuracy of reports.
  • Optimize dashboard performance by improving queries, indexing, and efficient visualization techniques.
  • Ensure best practices in data governance, security, and access control for reports and dashboards.
  • Support ad hoc reporting requests and provide analytical insights to stakeholders.
  • Document reporting processes, SQL queries, and dashboard logic for maintenance and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with business teams to enhance data-driven decision-making.
  • Stay updated with the latest features and best practices in Tableau and AWS Athena.
  • Communicate effectively with our partners, senior management, and peers.
  • Tracking your task progress and highlight risks.
  • Prepare documentation required for execution and maintenance of output.

Requirements

  • Person should have relevant work experience in analytics, reporting and business intelligence tools.
  • Experience in working with Tableau
  • Proficient in using SQL, ETL, Data Warehouse solutions and databases in a business environment with medium to large-scale, disparate datasets.
  • Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
  • Ability to work closely with stakeholders to get dashboards in place.
  • Understanding customer requirements and design solution in AWS Business Intelligence environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and exposure dealing with customers
  • 4 to 7 years of experience in Data visualization
  • Proven experience with Tableau
  • Data enthusiast

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with similar visualization tools like Quick sight, Power BI, Qlik, etc. is an added advantage.
  • Experience with AWS
  • Understanding AWS IAM policies, roles and administrator of AWS services.
