We design and manage competitive benefits offerings, ensuring they meet the diverse needs of our workforce. They collaborate seamlessly with various stakeholders, including HRBPs, Employee Relations and Health Committee, to consistently enhance employee health management and foster a conducive working environment. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? We are seeking a proactive and people-focused Benefits and Wellness Manager who is passionate about fostering a healthy, supportive, and engaging workplace. You lead and manage a Benefits & Wellness team, while actively performing daily operational tasks alongside the team. Reporting to the Head of Total Rewards, you will collaborate closely with the Benefits and Wellness team to ensure the effective delivery of offerings that align with organizational objectives and meet the diverse needs of our workforce. Your responsibilities will span general benefits administration, healthcare and wellness programs working with Company Doctor and company nurse, and Leave of Absence (LOA) management, all while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will stay ahead of market trends to design and implement new benefits offerings that keep our programs competitive and relevant. RESPONSIBILITIES ・Hands-on Leadership in a Small Team    ・Oversee general leadership duties within a small team    ・Provide work instructions, support, and development for team members ・Benefits Program Management    ・Design, administer, and continuously improve competitive benefits offerings, including healthcare programs, annual health check-ups, and wellness initiatives    ・Ensure smooth execution of program activities, from enrollments to terminations, with accuracy and compliance    ・Track program utilization and feedback to inform enhancements and strategic changes ・Employee Leave & Social Benefit Guidance    ・Serve as the primary contact for employees planning to take childcare or family care leave    ・Personally explain leave policies, procedures, and benefits available under company programs and social security systems, ensuring employees understand their rights and available resources    ・Oversee accurate processing of related documentation and compliance with applicable laws and company rules ・Health Committee Facilitation    ・Lead the monthly Health Committee, working closely with the company doctor, nurse, and committee members in three locations    ・Coordinate agenda, facilitate discussions, and ensure meaningful follow-up on committee recommendations    ・Promote activities that enhance workplace safety, health, and wellness based on committee outcomes ・Compliance & Governance    ・Maintain compliance with all relevant laws, including Japanese Health and Safety Law, labor standards, and social insurance requirements    ・Oversee annual compliance activities, filings with authorities, and internal audits, ensuring all are completed accurately and on time    ・Stay informed of regulatory changes and adjust policies and programs accordingly ・Vendor Relationship Management    ・Select and manage benefits vendors, brokers, and consultants to ensure quality service delivery    ・Negotiate contracts, monitor service levels, and resolve issues in collaboration with external partners    ・Maintain strong relationships to optimize value and efficiency ・Communication & Employee Engagement    ・Develop and deliver communication strategies to promote understanding and engagement with benefits programs    ・Organize workshops, webinars, and campaigns to encourage participation in wellness initiatives    ・Foster a culture of health, well-being, and trust through proactive outreach and visible leadership in employee programs MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
  • 10+ years of work experience and 3+ years of HR Benefits or HR operations experience
  • Native level in Japanese and business level in English
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools for data manipulation and reporting
  • Knowledge of employee benefits principles, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and interact with employees at all levels
