About the team + role

The Threat and Risk Management team’s mission is to identify, assess, and mitigate indications of potential violence, physical and digital threats/risks, and other related issues that could impact Robinhood employees, customers, or assets. The team is comprised of three core pillars: Behavioral Threat Assessment, Risk Intelligence, and Protective Intelligence.

As the Behavioral Threat Assessment Lead, you will be responsible for the oversight, development, and delivery of Robinhood's behavioral threat assessment activities, assessment methodologies, and cross-functional partnerships. You will also be a critical part of developing Robinhood's workplace violence prevention program.

It is preferred that this role is located in one of the office locations listed on this job description which will align with our in-office working environment. This position is only eligible for remote work in limited geographies within the US where we do not have physical office locations. What you’ll do

  • Analyze and assess risks and threats to our people, operations, strategy, brand, and reputation
  • Lead day-to-day behavioral threat activities, including assessment, deescalation, mitigation, and cross-functional coordination
  • Draft and deliver high visibility reports, assessments, and presentations, often to senior leaders and partners
  • Establish and nurture intelligence-sharing relationships inside and outside the organization

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years threat assessment, risk intelligence/analysis experience
  • Proven experience conducting physical threat assessments and investigations along with building threat management/assessment functions and teams
  • Certified or highly familiar with WAVR-21, Cawood Assessment Grid for Violence, and/or other assessment or investigative techniques
  • Experience deploying social media aggregators, public records databases, case management solutions, and general open source physical risk/threat databases

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
