Role Overview

The BDR – Private Equity Deal Origination role is a phone-first outbound position focused on sourcing conversations with business owners across the U.S. and Canada.

You will support our Head of Business Development by generating outbound activity, booking qualified meetings, and, when appropriate, running first-round qualification calls with sellers. This role blends high-volume outreach with thoughtful, consultative conversations.

You will report directly to the Head of Business Development, with close involvement from the Founder.


Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute high-volume outbound calling (60–100 calls per day) to targeted business owners

  • Conduct informed dialing using researched lead lists

  • Book qualified meetings for the Head of Business Development

  • Run first-round qualification calls when sellers are available live

  • Set clear expectations and introduce our clients process to prospective sellers

  • Maintain accurate pipeline data and CRM records

  • Manage inbox follow-ups and response handling

  • Support inbound leads when applicable

  • Contribute ideas and improvements to outbound systems and workflows

What Success Looks Like

First 30 Days

  • Fully onboarded and trained on our clients outreach process
    Actively calling within two weeks

  • Comfortable with scripts, positioning, and objection handling

First 60 Days

  • Consistently booking qualified meetings

  • Demonstrating strong call quality and professionalism

  • Managing pipeline hygiene independently

First 90 Days

  • Contributing steady, reliable deal flow

  • Running first-round qualification calls with confidence

  • Becoming a core part of our clients outbound engine


Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who brings:

  • Phone-first sales or outbound experience (BDR, SDR, deal sourcing, banking BD, relationship management, or similar)

  • Strong communication skills and a professional, consultative phone presence

  • Hunter mentality with a relationship-builder approach

  • Comfort speaking with both blue-collar business owners and senior executives

  • Startup mindset with the ability to adapt in evolving systems

  • High personal accountability and self-motivation

  • Tech comfort and willingness to learn new tools

Experience in private equity, M&A, deal origination, or financial services is ideal.

Work Environment
