Barista Coffee Specialist, La Terrazza, Season 2026 - Splendido, a Belmond Hotel

For the next season, we are looking for a Barista – Coffe Specialist to join the team at our La Terrazza Restaurant.   

The candidate should have exceptional taste and exemplary customer service skills. The primary objective is have a deep love for quality coffee, excellent cappuccino abilities, and a desire to provide an outstanding customer experience. 

The candidate reports to Restaurant Manager.  

Main duties & responsibilities: 

• Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee-based beverages (espresso, cappuccino, latte, macchiato, etc.) with high standards of quality and presentation; 

• Ensure perfect grinding, tamping, and extraction for every cup; 

• Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of coffee equipment (espresso machine, grinders, etc.); 

• Process cash transactions accurately and efficiently; 

• Maintain a clean and organized work area; 

• Collaborate with the team to ensure fast and efficient customer service; 

• Manage stock of coffee, milk, and other ingredients, reporting replenishment needs; 

• Contribute to a warm and friendly atmosphere for all customers; 

Requirements

• Previous experience of 2 years as Barista, preferably in a specialty or high-volume coffee shop; 

• Excellent knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and different origins/varieties; 

• Strong customer service orientation and ability to build rapport with clients; 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; 

• Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment; 

• Valid HACCP Certification.

• Start date: April/May 2026 to End date: November 2026, with the aim of a continuous collaboration over subsequent seasons at Splendido and a career path;   

• Monthly gross salary around 1.600€ + separate payslip for 13°,14° and TFR;
