Your mission:

• Service Architecture: Design and develop scalable microservices for the Asset pilot platform, using Kotlin and Spring Boot,
• API Development: Build robust RESTful APIs that power frontend applications and integrations,
• Data Pipeline Engineering: Implement high-performance data processing pipelines for real-time asset monitoring,
• Database Optimization: Design and optimize MongoDB schemes and aggregation pipelines for maximum performance,
• Integration Development: Create reliable integration services for IoT devices and external systems,
• Performance Engineering: Ensure backend services meet demanding performance and reliability requirements,
• Security Implementation: Build secure services with proper authentication, authorization, and data protection,
• Technical Collaboration: Work closely with frontend developers and the Full Stack team lead to deliver cohesive features.

Your profile:

• Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field,
• Experience: 4+ years in backend development with enterprise applications,
• Kotlin/Java Expertise: Expert-level proficiency with Spring ecosystem,
• API Design: Strong experience with RESTful services, API design principles, and documentation. GraphQL knowledge is a plus,
• Database Skills: Advanced MongoDB knowledge including performance optimization,
• Microservices: Experience with distributed systems and microservices patterns,
• Cloud Knowledge: Hands-on experience with Kubernetes cluster management and orchestration in cloud-native environments,
• Message Queuing: Experience with Kafka or similar event streaming platforms,
• Testing Mindset: Strong focus on quality with comprehensive testing practices,
• DevOps Skills: Experience with containerization and CI/CD pipelines,
• Communication: Excellent English skills (mandatory), German is a plus but not required.
