Backend Lead

International fast-growing IT company StellarTech is looking for a Backend Lead.
You will be responsible for backend engineering within a cross-functional product team, owning technical solutions, contributing to product delivery, and taking responsibility for product outcomes.
The role requires strong product development experience, architectural thinking, ownership mindset, and ability to work in a fast-moving environment where AI tools are actively used to improve engineering productivity and development processes.

What You’ll Do:

• Own backend technical direction and architecture for product development.
• Design scalable technical solutions aligned with product and business needs.
• Work as part of a cross-functional product team, shaping solutions together with Product and Engineering.
• Take responsibility for product outcomes, not only backend implementation.
• Lead backend engineering execution, including people management and team organization.
• Carry responsibility for backend services reliability, stability and operational health.
• Improve and evolve engineering practices and development processes.
• Use AI tools in development workflows to improve productivity and engineering efficiency.

What We’re Looking For:

• 7+ years of backend engineering experience, including 2+ years in Lead/Tech Lead role.
• Proven experience in product development.
• Proven experience working in cross-functional product teams.
• Strong backend engineering experience building production systems (Python/FastAPI preferred).
• Strong architecture and solution design skills.
• Experience designing APIs, integrations and scalable services.
• Experience with modern backend infrastructure (databases (MongoDB), caching, cloud services, deployment tooling).
• Practical experience using AI-assisted or agentic development workflows in real software delivery (for example code generation, context-driven development, AI coding agents, or workflow automation), not only basic chatbot usage. Ability to balance delivery speed with long-term technical sustainability. Nice to have:
