Backend Engineer (m/f/d), Croatia

At FOMF we are looking for backend engineers to join our team and support the development of our online medical education platform. With over 200 courses and 3000 videos, the platform that we are building is one of the biggest medical educational platforms in Central Europe.

Here is what you will be doing as Backend Engineer:

• You will be playing an active role in the design and implementation of backend services
• You will strive for delivering quality in the solutions you implement
• You will work closely with product managers and domain experts to understand business and capture requirements

Requirements

At least 3 years of professional experience in backend development, preferably including:

• Experience with one of the JVM languages (Java, Kotlin, ..)
• Experience with spring framework
• Experience with the design and implementation of RESTFul APIs and/or GraphQL endpoints
• Experience with at least one of the Relational or NoSQL databases
• You value teamwork and enjoy collaborating with the other team members
• You are ready to learn and try new tools, technologies, methods, and approaches
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written)

would be great if you have:

• Experience with micro-services architecture pattern and domain-driven design
• Experience with containers, Kubernetes, and public cloud providers (GCP or Azure, or AWS)

Interview Process

• Intro Call (30m) - Introductory call with Recruiter to get to know you and clarify your possible questions about the role and FOMF
• Technical Deep Dive (1h) - Discuss your past experiences as well as technical discussion around our technology stack
• Cultural Interview (30m to 1h) - Meet with one of the management board members and discuss some cultural aspect of working at FOMF
