Backend Engineer in Berlin - Health & B2B (f/m/d)

Join us as a Backend Engineer (mid-level) to build the intuitive platform that powers our diverse B2B, Health, and Partnerships platforms. As a Backend Engineer in one of our Health & B2B teams, your work will focus on building new, user-facing features for customers directly. You will be responsible for creating the backbone of our specialized services, allowing users to easily manage business travel or patient transport. Your code will be the bridge that seamlessly connects our corporate and health partnerships to the everyday user, making their travel easier and more efficient.

YOUR DAILY ADVENTURES WILL INCLUDE:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-quality backend services.
• Taking full ownership of features—from brainstorming and design to deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
• Working closely with engineers, product managers, and customer success teams to build impactful solutions.
• Exploring and integrating AI-powered tools and workflows to drive innovation in our platform.
• Contributing ideas to improve team practices, engineering quality, and overall development efficiency.
• Ensuring system reliability with thoughtful monitoring, alerting, and robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Actively participating in our backend engineering community—sharing knowledge, discussing trends, and growing together.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

• You bring solid experience in backend development and know what it takes to build production-grade systems.
• You have hands-on experience—or are eager to get up to speed—with Kotlin, Spring, Go, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and Kafka.
• You take initiative and ownership of your work, and you're always looking for ways to improve.
• You thrive in collaborative, autonomous teams where sharing knowledge and giving feedback are part of everyday life.
• You enjoy working with both deep tech experts and product-oriented thinkers.
