One of our companies is currently looking for a Backend Engineer II in the United States.

We’re seeking a Backend Engineer II to help develop and maintain the infrastructure that powers critical business operations. This role will work on a collaborative, cross-functional team focused on building secure, scalable backend systems that support healthcare innovation. You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality code, supporting real-time services, and participating in technical design and development initiatives. Accountabilities:

• Design, build, and maintain robust backend services to support core business functionality
• Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure platform reliability and quick resolution of issues
• Collaborate across teams to deliver well-scoped technical solutions and accurate project estimates
• Protect user data by implementing best practices for privacy and security
• Write clean, efficient code with long-term scalability in mind, while iterating quickly
• Contribute ideas for new product features and leverage data to improve outcomes
• Work with technologies including Python, AWS, Kubernetes, Postgres, and ElasticSearch

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience building scalable backend systems
• Proficiency in Python is required
• Experience with event-driven and request-driven microservices architecture
• Strong understanding of AWS services and hands-on experience with SQL
• Experience deploying and managing applications in Kubernetes environments
• Exposure to TypeScript is a plus but not required
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams
• Authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available for this role)
• Motivation to improve the healthcare system and work in a mission-driven startup
