Backend Developer

As a Backend Developer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of an exciting and groundbreaking e-commerce project. We’re looking for a forward-thinking individual who thrives on solving complex challenges and is passionate about elevating their work to new heights.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of the company's core product.
• Enhance and extend Flask-based back-end services.
• Design and implement integrations with internal and external APIs.
• Advocate for and uphold best coding practices, delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.
• Take part in maintaining production reliability through a shared on-call rotation.(Pager Duty)
  
  

Required Skills and Qualifications

Hard Skills:

• Proven expertise in Python with 4+  years of hands-on experience.
• Proficiency in at least one additional object-oriented programming language.
• Solid experience with SQL and database management.
• Experience using AI tools and code agents to enhance development productivity and workflows.
• Understanding of backend architecture and ability to design maintainable systems.
• Experience improving performance and reliability of backend services under load.
• Experience maintaining and modernizing legacy production systems.
  
  

Soft Skills:

• A proactive mindset and a strong drive to excel in a dynamic work environment.
• Effective problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering results.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining flexibility.
• Language proficiency: Intermediate or higher in both English and Russian is a plus.
