Job Purpose:

B2B Key Account Managers (B2B KAM’s) core objective is to maintain, develop and grow existing customers’ portfolio through increased volume and margins, whilst building relationship.

Seeking profitable new business is always also a key objective whilst maintaining customer satisfaction. Will mainly look after a balance mixture of customers who Have direct relationship with Vivo Energy.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Achieving sales targets in both volumes and margin terms, Maximizing business opportunities and prospecting actively
  • Grow Vivo Energy market shares in the defined sector
  • Develop and maintain long term commercial relationship with key accounts.
  • Achieve within the defined Customer base, financial, volume and other related business plan targets for lubricants, fuels, and other associated products and services, as specified within the sector business plan.
  • Manage efficiently trade debts and ensure timely debts collection
  • Initiate investment proposals for new projects and ensure business profitability
  • Establish updated regularly Account Plans for all Key Account customers. These plans will provide clear targets and objectives but also actions plan to allow Vivo Energy to monitor account’ s performance and areas to focus on to foster relationship.
  •  Manage the development and implementation of marketing propositions at all levels, ensuring that they are tailored to the needs of customers and developing CVPs, thus enhancing the profitability of the business for both the customer and Vivo Energy.
  • Proactively liaise and communicate with all departments within VE to ensure customers’ requirements are met (CSC, Distribution, Marketing, Finance, Credit, etc)
  • Manage his/her own opex and sector’ opex within budgets
  • Ensure proper co-ordination with the Supply and Distribution department.
  • Ensuring Group HSSE and SGBP standards and processes are applied in all LoB activity.

Key Challenges:

  • Embrace both customer and Vivo Energy requirements for greater understanding between all parties and improved business performance using services (CVP) available.
  • Develop strong working relationships at all levels of customers organization, to sell-in and implement the agreed business strategy and partnership.
  • Achieve within the defined Customer base, financial, volume and other related business plan targets for lubricants, fuels, Bitumen and other associated products and services, as specified within the sector business plan.
  • Ensure appropriate co-ordination with the supply and distribution team
  • Identify and pursue all opportunities to trade up and cross-sell at all levels.
  • Create greater profit for Vivo Energy while adding tangible value to the customer’s business.
  • Create barriers to enter the competition
  • Grow the business within a tough competitive environment Survey the market.
  • Manage the development and implementation of marketing propositions at all levels, ensuring that they are tailored to the needs of customers and developing CVPs, whilst enhancing the profitability of the business for both the customer and Vivo Energy 
  • Manage trade debts overdue, and DSO down to at least the agreed level in the plan

Requirements

Job Knowledge, Skills & Experiences:

  • Experience 5 years+ and proven track record of success in Commercial business activities and of leading sales teams.
  • Proven competence in negotiation and dealing with major clients.
  • Need to have good and pragmatic business acumen, good analytical skills and general management ability.
  • Good interpersonal skill for management of both customers and interface with internal functions.
  • Mature, assertive, outgoing, able to work independently under pressure, and like challenge.
