At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for an Azure Data Engineer to join our UniQue BI and Data Warehouse team.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the customer in order to understand, innovate and develop solutions according to the key requirements provided.

For the Azure Data Engineer position we expect you to:

  • Design, development, and maintenance of data platform (i.e. Data Warehouse, Lakehouse) solutions based on relative Azure Technologies (i.e. Fabric, Data Factory, Spark).
  • Develop existing data solutions by analyzing and identifying areas for modification.
  • Be involved in the technical coordination and management of customers’ needs according to maintenance contracts.
  • Be involved in the implementation of data governance and data quality procedures.
  • Build components for enterprise data platforms to ensure efficient data workflows.
  • Collaborate with business users, data analysts, data scientists, architects, and other stakeholders to address data requirements.
  • Implement structured, secure, and auditable processes to safeguard data integrity.

Requirements

What do you need to succeed in this position?

Your experience, skill set and qualifications are going to help you succeed in this position, moving forward. We would like you to have:

  • A University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other relative discipline from a Greek or foreign institute.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of data modelling techniques (ideally following the Kimball methodology).
  • Solid Azure-based data solutions experience along with BI & DWH design and implementations.
  • Solid experience in incorporating data processing and workflow management tools into pipeline design using Azure technologies (i.e. Fabric,  Azure Data Factory, Spark).
  • Knowledge\working experience with Reporting services (i.e. Microsoft Power BI) will also be considered as an asset.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python.
  • Ability to set and meet strict deadlines.
  • Analytical thinking and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within multi-disciplined teams.
  • Excellent use of the English language (verbal & written).
