Job Description – Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments. The role involves cloud operations, on-premises to Azure migration, automation, cost optimization, security implementation, and leading regional cloud initiatives.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure and hybrid cloud architectures
  • Lead and execute Move to Cloud initiatives (On-Premises to Azure)
  • Manage Cloud Operations, including monitoring, performance tuning, and cost optimization
  • Plan and execute infrastructure changes, upgrades, and enhancements
  • Implement and maintain security controls, governance, and compliance across cloud environments
  • Manage and organize Azure resources using Resource Groups and best practices
  • Lead and contribute to regional cloud infrastructure projects
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of cloud platforms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business and technical requirements

Mandatory / Primary Skills

  • Strong experience in Azure Cloud Infrastructure
  • Cloud Operations and lifecycle management
  • Hybrid Cloud Architecture design and implementation
  • On-Prem to Azure migration (Move to Cloud)
  • Hands-on experience with Azure File Services (AFS)
  • Expertise in Azure Resource Groups
  • Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation tools:
    • Git, Bash, Terraform, Python, PowerShell
  • Experience in cloud security implementation and maintenance

Secondary / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Knowledge of additional cloud platforms such as GCP and AliCloud
  • Experience with on-premises infrastructure technologies
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and basic networking architecture
  • Relevant certifications are a plus:
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
