Cloud is your playground, Azure your toolkit, and solving complex challenges your idea of fun. Sound familiar? Then we might just be looking for you! At Xebia Microsoft Services, we are looking for an Azure Cloud Engineer who enjoys building, running, and improving cloud environments. Within our Managed Services team, your impact goes beyond project delivery. You help customers keep their Azure platforms secure, stable, and continuously evolving, while working closely with both customers and your internal Xebia colleagues.
If you are ready to build future-proof cloud platforms and make a lasting impact, this is your chance.
Responsibilities
As a Cloud Engineer in Managed Services, you are responsible for the day-to-day reliability and continuous improvement of Azure environments and platforms for multiple customers. You work in a dynamic setting where operational excellence, automation, and collaboration are key. You balance hands-on engineering with customer interaction and internal teamwork, and you are comfortable switching between different environments and priorities.
In practice, this means:
Azure Environment Management: Building, configuring, and maintaining Azure environments for multiple customers, with a strong focus on stability, scalability, and security.
Monitoring & SLA Compliance: Monitoring performance and availability, and handling incidents and problems in line with agreed SLA’s.
Multi-Customer Operation: Efficiently switching context between different customer environments, workloads, and priorities.
Internal Collaboration & Standardization: Collaborating with internal Xebia teams on landing zones, High-Level Designs (HLD’s), and standardization initiatives.
Automation & Continuous Improvement: Driving continuous improvement through automation, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD practices.
Operational Support: Participating in standby and 24/7 support rotations when required, ensuring continuity of service.
What You Will Bring
You are a hands-on cloud engineer who enjoys taking ownership of platforms in production. You feel comfortable in a Managed Services context, where reliability, communication, and adaptability are just as important as technical depth. You like working closely with colleagues and customers, sharing knowledge, and proactively improving cloud environments rather than just reacting to issues.
This includes:
Experience with modern Azure architectures and operating cloud-native environments in production.
Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and automation (e.g. Bicep, Terraform).
Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.
Familiarity with monitoring, incident management, and cloud security best practices.
The ability to design and maintain architectures that balance performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset, including willingness to participate in on-call or standby services.
