Job Summary

The Associate Vice President, Enterprise Planning & Performance provides critical operational and program support to the Enterprise Planning & Insights team, driving execution of enterprise planning, portfolio intelligence, and performance initiatives. This role manages cross-functional projects, ensures operational excellence, and facilitates seamless execution of team priorities. The AVP acts as integrator, problem-solver, and program leader—stepping in to resolve analytical issues, support executive communications, lead enterprise initiatives, and drive continuous improvement across planning and portfolio intelligence functions. This position requires strong analytical and interpersonal skills with ability to operate effectively across all organizational levels.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide operational and program support to Enterprise Planning & Insights team, managing priorities, identifying issues proactively, and driving resolution across planning and portfolio intelligence functions.
  • Lead high-impact cross-functional programs and enterprise initiatives, ensuring seamless execution, communication, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Support enterprise business planning process to build unified operating plan connecting strategies, resources, and financial commitments.
  • Partner with portfolio management teams to enhance portfolio intelligence processes, improve data quality, and strengthen benefit realization tracking.
  • Support data, analytical, and reporting issues, as needed, across Business Planning and Business Intelligence functions, providing hands-on problem-solving to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Develop presentations and materials to support senior leadership meetings, board presentations, and executive forums; synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights.
  • Streamline operational cadence of Enterprise Planning & Insights, including agenda planning, follow-ups, and tracking deliverables across team functions.
  • Conduct analysis and research to support decision-making; provide data-driven insights and recommendations for enterprise planning and performance initiatives.
  • Act as liaison between Enterprise Planning & Insights and other departments, ensuring alignment, collaboration, and effective communication across the organization.
  • Monitor performance of programs, planning processes, and portfolio initiatives; identify risks, recommend mitigations, and ensure successful execution.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders across the enterprise to facilitate collaboration and build credibility for the team.
  • Mentor analysts as needed, ensuring high-quality deliverables and fostering culture of clarity, alignment, and continuous improvement.
  • Represent Enterprise Planning & Insights in cross-functional working groups and governance forums as assigned.
  • Perform other functions, duties and projects as assigned.

Experience & Education Requirements

  • BA/BS in Economics, Finance or similar discipline with analytical bias.
  • 10+ years’ experience in a corporate finance, consulting, or similar role with cross-functional leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, planning, and operational support
  • Experience in insurance and financial services preferred
  • Experience supporting enterprise teams in fast-paced environments
