Aviation Solutions Consultant

TLDR

Support aviation organizations in adopting technology that improves safety and operational performance while serving as a key product expert during the sales cycle.

About

TrustFlight is a global provider of mission-critical digital platforms that power safety, compliance and operational performance across aviation. Our technology helps aviation organisations manage the complex workflows required to operate safely and meet their regulatory obligations - replacing manual processes, fragmented systems and legacy tools with connected digital operations.

The TrustFlight platform brings together three core products:

  • Centrik - safety, quality and compliance management

  • Tech Log - digital aircraft technical records and logbooks

  • Smart Docs - controlled documentation and operational manuals

These are complemented by the specialist expertise of our aviation services businesses - Baines Simmons, Redline and Kenyon - providing advisory, training and operational support to organisations across the global aviation ecosystem.

Together, TrustFlight enables aviation organisations to move from reactive, paper-based compliance to proactive, data-driven safety management - improving outcomes for operators, passengers and the wider industry.

Over 200,000 users rely on our systems daily across airlines, MROs, airports and regulators worldwide.

The Role

The Aviation Solutions Consultant is TrustFlight’s product expert within the sales function. This role exists to bridge the gap between commercial opportunity and technical credibility, ensuring that prospects and existing customers experience TrustFlight’s products at their best, and that Account Executives and Account Managers are supported with the deep product knowledge needed to win complex deals.

This is not a back-office technical role. You will be highly visible, leading demonstrations, running technical discovery sessions, contributing to proposals and attending client meetings and industry events. You will be the person in the room who genuinely understands how aviation organisations use our products day-to-day, and who can translate that understanding into compelling, credible conversations with safety managers, airworthiness engineers, quality directors and IT leads alike.

The ideal candidate brings a combination of deep product knowledge across Centrik, Tech Log and/or Smart Docs, an understanding of the aviation maintenance and safety ecosystem - including how TrustFlight integrates with systems such as CAMP, AMOS and TRAX - and the communication skills to make complex product capability feel immediately relevant to each specific buyer.

Experience as a direct user of TrustFlight products, or of comparable platforms in an aviation operational role, is a genuine differentiator and will be weighted accordingly.

This role reports to VP, Sales.

What You’ll Be Doing

Product Demonstrations & Pre-Sales Support

  • Lead tailored product demonstrations of Centrik, Tech Log and Smart Docs for prospects and existing customers, adapting the narrative and workflow to each audience’s specific operational context.

  • Support Account Executives and Account Managers throughout the sales cycle - from early-stage discovery through to technical sign-off - providing product expertise at the right moments.

  • Design and deliver proof-of-concept scenarios and sandbox environments that allow prospects to experience TrustFlight products in the context of their own operations.

  • Respond to technical and functional questions during sales cycles, ensuring prospects receive accurate, credible answers that build confidence in TrustFlight’s capability.

Technical Discovery & Solution Design

  • Run structured technical and functional discovery sessions that surface the operational workflows, pain points and regulatory requirements driving each opportunity.

  • Understand how a prospect’s existing systems - including MRO and maintenance platforms such as CAMP, AMOS and TRAX - interact with their safety, quality and documentation workflows, and articulate how TrustFlight integrates into that ecosystem.

  • Map client workflows to TrustFlight product capability, identifying where standard configuration meets the need and where bespoke scoping may be required.

  • Collaborate with Product and Implementation teams to ensure solution designs are technically sound and deliverable, and that any custom requirements are properly scoped.

Proposals & Response Quality

  • Contribute to TrustFlight’s responses to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs), bringing product and domain expertise to ensure responses are accurate, differentiated and credible.

  • Work alongside our AI-powered proposal repository - drawing on structured content and prior responses to craft submissions that are high quality without starting from scratch every time.

  • Own the technical and functional sections of proposals, ensuring the language is precise, the capability claims are accurate and the solution is clearly articulated.

  • Feed insights and new product information back into the content repository, improving the quality and coverage of material available to the wider team.

Market & Customer Knowledge

  • Act as a trusted internal resource on TrustFlight product capability - helping AEs and AMs understand what the products can and cannot do, how they are configured and where they differentiate in the market.

  • Develop and maintain a sharp understanding of the competitive landscape across the aviation safety, compliance and maintenance technology sector, enabling the team to position TrustFlight effectively in contested deals.

  • Bring insights from pre-sales conversations back into the business - informing Product on recurring prospect requirements, helping Marketing sharpen messaging and helping Sales with objection handling.

  • Attend industry events, conferences and trade shows - particularly those focused on aviation maintenance, safety and compliance - to build TrustFlight’s presence and your own credibility in the market.

Enablement

  • Support onboarding of new Account Executives and Account Managers, helping them build product fluency and confidence in the TrustFlight portfolio.

  • Contribute to the development of demo environments, playbooks and sales collateral that help the broader team sell more effectively.

What Success Looks Like

In this role, success means:

  • Deals are won more consistently and more quickly because prospects have experienced TrustFlight products through high-quality, contextualised demonstrations that speak directly to their world.

  • Account Executives and Account Managers feel confident going into complex technical discussions because they know you have their back.

  • Proposal responses are accurate, differentiated and submitted on time - with a consistent and compelling narrative across functional and technical sections.

  • Prospects and clients trust TrustFlight’s technical credibility - because the person representing it understands aviation operations, not just software features.

  • The wider business benefits from your market-facing position - via product feedback, competitive intelligence and sharper messaging.

Requirements

What You’ll Bring

All candidates should be able to demonstrate:

  • Deep functional knowledge of at least one TrustFlight product - Centrik, Tech Log or Smart Docs - whether from direct use in an aviation role or from a previous pre-sales, implementation or support position.

  • An understanding of aviation operations sufficient to navigate conversations with safety managers, quality leads, continuing airworthiness managers or maintenance operations teams - you don’t need to have held a Part 145 approval, but you need to understand the world these buyers operate in.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills - the ability to translate complex product capability into clear, relevant value stories for different audiences.

  • Experience conducting structured discovery conversations and mapping client workflows to software capability.

  • The ability to work collaboratively within a sales team - supporting colleagues without needing to own the outcome, and knowing when to lead and when to enable.

  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly in the context of written proposals and technical documentation.

  • Comfort with a role that involves regular client-facing activity, including travel to client sites and industry events.

Nice to have (for any profile):

  • Working knowledge of MRO and maintenance management systems - particularly CAMP, AMOS or TRAX - and how they integrate with safety, quality and documentation platforms.

  • Familiarity with EASA, FAA, CAA or other regulatory frameworks governing SMS, QMS and airworthiness compliance.

  • Experience with Centrik configuration and/or ETL Tech Log workflows

  • Exposure to the full TrustFlight Group portfolio - including Baines Simmons services, Redline SeMS or Kenyon emergency response.
