Salary: $90,000 - 120,000/year
The AV Field Engineer is responsible for the on-site technical execution, testing, and commissioning of integrated audiovisual systems. This includes verifying system functionality, troubleshooting complex issues, ensuring compliance with design documentation, and supporting installation teams. The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge, hands-on field experience, and excellent communication skills to ensure each project is delivered to the highest standard.
Responsibilities
Commission and configure AV systems, including control systems, DSPs, networked AV, video conferencing platforms, and display solutions.
Conduct system verification and quality assurance testing to ensure compliance with design intent and performance standards.
Provide on-site and remote troubleshooting for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
Work closely with project managers, programmers, and installation technicians to ensure timely and successful project completion.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and signal flow diagrams.
Calibrate audio and video systems for optimal performance and user experience.
