As an Autonomous Flight Systems Intern, you will contribute to the development, integration, and validation of flight control and autonomy features on Auterion-powered UAVs within the enterprise product team. Gain hands-on experience with Auterion’s technology stack, real-world testing, and product validation while collaborating with engineers, hardware experts, and customers. Responsibilities

  • Integrate, develop features for and maintain autonomous aerial vehicles.
  • Design and implement algorithms in control, estimation, system state monitoring and management.
  • Test in simulation and in real flights, evaluate performance and iterate quickly.
  • Document and report procedures and results.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Final-year Master’s student or graduate in mechanical, electrical, computer science, robotics or related engineering field.
  • Software development experience. C++ preferred.
  • Knowledge of robotics topics like system dynamics, estimation, control.
  • Familiarity with some of the following: Git, Linux, networking.
  • Experience with robotic hardware and electronics.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Bonus: PX4 ecosystem or aerial robotics experience.
  • Eligible to work in Switzerland.
