Automation Test Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer with 4–5 years of experience in designing, developing, and executing automated test frameworks. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in automation tools, API/UI testing, CI/CD integration, and should be capable of ensuring product quality in a fast-paced microservices-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust automation test frameworks for web and API testing.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members to define test requirements.
  • Automate regression, functional, and smoke test suites for scalable execution.
  • Perform API automation for REST endpoints.
  • Integrate test automation with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub, Azure DevOps).
  • Debug test failures, identify root causes, and raise defects with detailed logs.
  • Monitor test coverage and continuously improve automation efficiency.
  • Maintain test data, reusable utilities, and test environments.

Required Skills

  • Strong programming skills in Java / Python / JavaScript (any one must).
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress for UI testing.
  • Experience with API automation using Postman, REST Assured, Karate, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of test frameworks (JUnit, TestNG, Mocha, Pytest, etc.).
  • Familiarity with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow).
  • Exposure to Kibana, Elasticsearch, Grafana, or datadog for log-based testing/validation.
  • CI/CD tools knowledge (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development methodology.
  • Good understanding of microservices, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud environments (Azure/AWS/GCP).

ADD-ON Skills

  • Performance testing with JMeter or Locust.
  • Security testing knowledge (OWASP Top 10,Burp Suite).
  • Knowledge of monitoring/observability tools.
