Job Overview

The Automation Leader is responsible for overseeing all automation activities within Manufacturing Processes. This role ensures that automation initiatives align with company goals, regulatory standards, and operational efficiency targets.                             The position requires strategic planning, budgeting, and leadership to drive continuous improvement and innovation in automated processes.

This position reports to the Production Manager, and it is located at Matamoros, Tamaulipas site. 

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning & Budgeting: Develop and implement long-term automation strategies, allocate resources, and manage budgets effectively.
  • In addition to leading automation projects, you will recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing automation team to support our growth and continuous improvement goals.
  •  Cross-Department Coordination: Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to optimize automation processes and ensure seamless integration with existing workflows.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Lead the automation team, provide guidance, mentor staff, and evaluate performance metrics to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure all automation projects comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Identify opportunities for process optimization, adopt emerging technologies, and drive initiatives that enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of automation technologies (PLC, robotics, vision systems).
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing industry.
  • Project management and budgeting expertise.
  • English level: Advanced/Intermediate.
