You will design, develop, and support scalable automation solutions across Microsoft Power Platform, Python, RPA, API integrations, and AI-enabled tools including Copilot Studio. This role suits an engineer with strong technical foundations and a pragmatic approach, building secure, resilient automation for business-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

Automation & Integrations

  • Design and implement automation workflows using Power Apps, Power Automate, RPA tools, PowerShell and Python.
  • Develop ETL pipelines and data transformation processes using Python.
  • Implement AI-enabled automation, including prompt-driven workflows and Copilot Studio use cases.
  • Build and consume REST APIs to enable reliable system integrations and automation workflows.
  • Implement secure authentication, error handling, and efficient API consumption practices.

Reliability, Security & Compliance

  • Embed security, compliance, and risk controls into all automation and integration workflows.
  • Monitor automations and integrations, implement alerting, and ensure rapid recovery from failures.
  • Continuously improve automation reliability by analysing incidents and implementing preventative automation

CI/CD, Quality & Collaboration

  • Use Git for version control, branching, and automated deployment of automation.
  • Manage assigned tasks, prioritise SLAs, communicate updates, and track work with minimal supervision.
  • Document standards, create clear usage guides, and support internal enablement sessions where required.

Requirements

Experience

  • 3–4 years of professional experience in automation development.
  • Strong understanding of process optimisation and enterprise automation practices.
  • Hands-on experience designing and operating Power Automate flows for business-critical processes.
  • Practical experience with Power Apps, including solution packaging, environment management, and connector governance.
  • Practical experience with SQL, integrating REST APIs, and working with Git-based workflows and CI/CD.
  • Demonstrated commitment to security, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Proven experience engaging with diverse stakeholders to gather requirements and demonstrate solutions clearly and effectively

Core Skills

  • Power Platform – Hands-on experience with Power Automate and Power Apps for workflow and app development.
  • APIs – Strong understanding of REST API authentication, integration, and custom build.
  • Python – Used for automation, and data process optimization.
  • PowerShell – Used for automation
  • SQL – Skilled in designing and writing queries.
  • AI Tools – Experience with GitHub Copilot, prompt-driven development and Copilot Studio.
  • Operating Systems – Competent in Linux and Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL).
  • Version Control – Proficient with Git for source management and collaboration.
  • Microsoft Ecosystem – Familiar with SharePoint and Microsoft 365
