We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Automation Design Engineer to join our Automation Practice. This role is responsible for designing end-to-end automation solutions that align with business goals, technical architecture, and standards. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with process design thinking to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative automation systems.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design
    • Analyze business processes and design automation solutions that optimize performance and reduce manual effort.
    • Create detailed design documents, process maps, and technical specifications.
    • Collaborate with RPA developers, software engineers, and business analysts to ensure seamless implementation.
  • Architecture Alignment
    • Ensure automation designs align with enterprise architecture and data models.
    • Contribute to the development of reusable design patterns and frameworks.
    • Integrate automation solutions with existing systems and platforms.
  • Innovation & Prototyping
    • Support the Innovation Hub by designing and testing prototypes that demonstrate new automation capabilities.
    • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend design enhancements.
  • Governance & Standards
    • Adhere to CoE standards for documentation, metadata management, coding, and testing.
    • Participate in design reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of design practices.
  • Security & Compliance
    • Incorporate security and compliance requirements into automation designs.
    • Collaborate with security teams to ensure secure architecture and data handling.
  • Change Management & Communication
    • Support change management efforts by documenting design rationale and communicating with stakeholders.
    • Assist in training and onboarding teams to understand and adopt automation designs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in automation design, process engineering, or solution architecture.
  • Strong understanding of automation technologies (RPA, workflow automation, scripting).
  • Experience with process modeling tools (e.g., BPMN, Visio) and design documentation.
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture, data integration, and system interoperability.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in a Center of Excellence or enterprise automation environment.
  • Knowledge of metadata management and technical documentation standards.
  • Exposure to AI/ML, low-code platforms, and cloud-based automation tools.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
