The Body Shop General Manager is the leadership position for all body shop personnel. Responsible for shop operational performance, customers, and shop organization. · Educates and trains the teammates of the shop and customers about the collision repair process according to the standards established by I-CAR and OE vehicle manufacturer. This includes insurance repair processing, payment procedures, repair and refinish techniques, parts options and approximate repair time,

· Reinforces the understanding of technical knowledge and tools with their team.

· Solid understanding of estimating process and system.

· Prepares estimates in accordance with insurance company guidelines and accepted industry standards.

· Communicates with insurance appraisers for the repair process, updates customers on repairs.

· Oversees the daily process associated with shop management based on company policies, holding themselves and shop teammates accountable to complete the tasks identified in the operating model.

· Measures quality standards by inspecting both in-process repairs and pre-delivered repairs. perform quality control checks before and after the vehicle is painted and conducts quality control checks before delivery of vehicle owner.

· Demonstrates a high level of service with all insurance accounts in order to maintain those vital business relationships.

· Excels in a competitive environment while maintaining positive morale throughout the shop

· Ensures safety and compliance regulations are adhered to according to company standards

· Coach and develop teammates for future growth in the company

· Makes hiring decisions based on the ability to recognize performance gaps due to staffing needs and a thorough interview process of prospective employees to determine best applicant for position based on skills, knowledge, and abilities required to perform the job.

· Assigns labor and participates in HR-related activities for all center employees.

· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Computer Skill:

· Basic knowledge Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

· CCC Estimating System (required)

Other Skills:

· Effective oral and written communications skills

· Self-starter who is highly organized

· Able to handle multiple projects and assignments with attention to detail
