About the Role
We are looking for an experienced CA/ACCA professional to manage audit, compilation, bookkeeping, accounting, and Canadian tax engagements for our Canadian clients. This is a fully remote role with exposure to Canadian accounting standards, IFRS, and taxation, offering a leadership opportunity for a skilled manager.
Key Responsibilities
Audit & Assurance:
- Lead the planning, execution, and completion of audit, review, and compilation engagements under Canadian ASPE, CSRS, CAS, and IFRS standards.
- Review working papers, financial statements, and management letters for accuracy and compliance.
- Provide technical guidance on complex accounting, audit, and IFRS matters.
- Ensure timely completion of engagements while maintaining high-quality deliverables.
- Identify and communicate accounting and control risks to partners and clients.
Accounting & Bookkeeping:
- Oversee bookkeeping processes for multiple clients, including reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under ASPE and IFRS.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with Canadian accounting standards.
- Provide recommendations for process improvements and automation opportunities.
Canadian Tax:
- Prepare and review Canadian corporate and personal tax returns..
Client & Team Management:
- Monitor team performance, manage workflow, and ensure timely deliverables.
Qualifications
- CA (Pakistan), ACCA, or equivalent (required).
- 5–7+ years of progressive experience in public accounting, including at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong technical knowledge of Canadian ASPE, IFRS, CSRS, CAS, and Canadian tax fundamentals.
- Proven experience managing audit, review, compilation, bookkeeping, and tax engagements.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, CaseWare, Xero, and Excel.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple clients simultaneously.
- Must be available to work Canadian business hours and coordinate with partners in Canada
