We are seeking a seasoned Audit Manager to lead and oversee audit engagements in Fremont, NE. This full-time role focuses on managing audit teams, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and auditing standards, and driving high-quality financial reporting. The ideal candidate is a CPA with proven leadership experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to guide teams in a hybrid work environment. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with clients and internal stakeholders while contributing to process improvements and risk management in Fremont. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate internal and external audit engagements from planning through completion.
  • Review financial statements, audit workpapers, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain adherence to U.S. GAAP, auditing standards, and internal control requirements.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop audit staff and senior accountants in Fremont.
  • Identify audit risks and recommend improvements to processes and controls.
  • Act as the main point of contact for audit-related matters with clients and stakeholders.
  • Manage audit timelines, deliverables, and deadlines to ensure smooth engagement execution.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Fremont audit practice.

Requirements

  • Active CPA certification required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive audit experience, including management or leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, auditing standards, and internal control frameworks.
  • Experience in public accounting, internal audit, or regulated industries is a plus.
  • Proficiency in audit and accounting software, as well as Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work onsite in Fremont, NE on a hybrid schedule.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple audit engagements and meet deadlines.
