Install, program, test, and configure Crestron NVX devices, processors, and touch panels, including cable routing, labeling, and connectivity verification.
Install and integrate A/V equipment such as displays, speakers, microphones, cameras, amplifiers, and control interfaces to support classified and unclassified meeting environments.
Configure Cisco and other network switches to support multicast A/V streaming and maintain optimal network performance.
Configure and manage network multilayer switches and routing protocols to support high-availability video transmission.
Configure, test, and troubleshoot multicast traffic streams, resolving latency, jitter, and synchronization issues across the A/V network.
Create and maintain detailed documentation for all A/V systems, including logical and physical diagrams, equipment inventories, and wiring schematics.
Perform preventative maintenance, patching, firmware updates, backups, restoration, and system readiness checks for all A/V components.
Maintain detailed A/V system logs, configuration records, and incident response documentation, reporting performance anomalies or failures to leadership.
Respond to after-hours notifications and provide remote or on-site support within two hours as required by mission needs.
Serve as the first-line support for user VTC requirements, providing immediate assistance during classified and unclassified meetings.
Schedule and coordinate VTC sessions across multiple networks and security domains, ensuring appropriate routing, bandwidth allocation, and endpoint availability.
Coordinate meeting requirements with internal organizations, external agencies, and hub facilities to ensure reliable session connectivity.
Verify room readiness, equipment functionality, and participant clearance levels prior to classified VTC sessions.
Maintain calendars and scheduling systems to manage recurring and ad hoc VTC events across all supported networks.
Conduct pre-call testing and verification of all VTC components, including cameras, microphones, speakers, and network connectivity.
Ensure accurate dial-in information, bridge configuration, and session routing prior to meeting start times.
Set up unclassified and classified Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or other virtual collaboration environments as directed.
Actively monitor VTC sessions to identify and resolve technical issues in real time, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
Provide discreet and professional troubleshooting during high-visibility sessions, including General Officer or senior leader meetings.
Diagnose and resolve A/V issues involving codecs, signal processors, touch panels, cameras, microphones, amplifiers, and displays.
Perform Tier I and Tier II troubleshooting on A/V and VTC systems, escalating complex issues to senior engineers or vendors as necessary.
Track recurring technical issues, document corrective actions, and identify systemic problems requiring configuration or equipment updates.
Collaborate with network and system administrators to resolve A/V-related connectivity, IP addressing, or multicast routing issues.
Develop and maintain SOPs, quick reference guides, and training materials for users and support technicians.
Provide user assistance for VTC and collaboration tools, including microphone, camera, and display configuration support.
Maintain detailed logs of VTC sessions, system changes, and technical incidents for accountability and trend analysis.
Ensure all A/V equipment is properly labeled, inventoried, and accounted for in accordance with configuration management and property control policies.
Serve as a property custodian as required by DoDI 5000.64, DAFI 23-111, and AFMAN 17-1203, maintaining accountability of assigned A/V assets.
Support exercises, operational events, and contingency scenarios by ensuring the rapid setup, testing, and operation of mobile or deployable A/V systems.
What you will need:
TS/SCI Clearance
Minimum of 5–7 years of progressively responsible experience designing and maintaining complex A/V networks and control systems within secure or mission-critical environments.
Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and at least two years of related experience.
